A new apartment of our own...

We finally moved in this weekend. After 10 months of hopping from place to place, it feels so good to unpack our bags and move in. We still have a long way to go, but I am overwhelmed with how thankful I am for this small space. The living room and bedroom have large windows that stretch from ceiling to floor. I made coffee this morning and looked out the living room window at a very raw and honest view of the city. It is dirty and run down, but incredibly precious and loved. Just like us. If you look beyond the buildings next to us, you can see the Old City and the white Jerusalem stone. I thought I might be sad to have such a mixed view of the city, but it's just the opposite. It's a constant reminder of redemption and hope, for which I am so grateful.

Maggy this is such a beautiful post. Your perspective reminds me of the romance of life-the beauty, the sore spots, the little miracles.
